Neuromodulators are muscle-relaxing injections of botulinum toxin. These toxins are commercially developed by several pharmaceutical companies, and are known as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and Daxxify.

Neuromodulator injections target the muscles immediately below the skin. These are the muscles that cause tension, wrinkles, and folds on the face. Neuromodulators temporarily relax these muscles and clear the wrinkles.

Yes. bellaboxx only uses products that have been studied and approved by the FDA for enhancing facial aesthetics. The FDA approved Botox in 2002, Dysport in 2009, and Daxxify in 2022.

Neuromodulator injections are medical procedures and should only be performed by professionals who are licensed and experienced in facial aesthetics. All medical procedures can have potential unwanted side-effects. Injections commonly result in temporary redness and swelling that is similar to mosquito bites. Occasional bruising may develop, but typically resolves in less than 72 hours.

There is no long-term or life-threatening adverse effects related to neuromodulator treatments for facial aesthetics.

No, your comfort is important. We know the face is very sensitive. That’s why we use the smallest injecting needles available. We also use anesthetics on the skin and below the surface. There is no lingering or residual pain, pressure, burning, or other sensations.

Each neuromodulator is slightly different in its effect and duration on the facial muscles.

Botox typical takes effect over several days with peak effect at two weeks, and duration of at least three months.

Dysport may begin to show effects within a day or two. The duration of Dysport is at least three months.

Daxxify effects are also noticed in about two days. The duration of Daxxify is at least six months.

This is unique to each client and the aesthetic effect they’re seeking, and also depends on the neuromodulator, muscle, and muscle tone.
